Pollycraft Monday Challenge Sunshine Card Tutorial...

Good Morning!!! and Happy Monday all!!
Its time for another Pollycraft Monday Challenge!!
This time the challenge has been set by the lovely Becky...
She's obviously looking forward to Summer...
As Beckys theme is:
HERE COMES THE SUN!!

This card is TOTALLY different for me... but I really enjoyed making it...

The stamps are printed directly onto patterned paper....
and I'm going to give you a little tutorial on how to do it!!
Now I've NEVER attempted a tutorial before... so I apologise if it makes no sense whatsoever!!
also for the information on using the images within your graphics program... this will depend on what program you are using... the functions are likely to be different on all programs, and you will need to adapt them to suit you...

RIGHT... are you sitting comfortably?
Then we'll begin...

First we need to take all the individual elements we are going to use into our graphics program...
In my graphics program I use the 'import' command... but yours could be something like 'Place' or 'Paste'...
I've used digital papers from Kay Miller Designs... they come sized as 12 x 12... I've resized them so that the pattern is not too big... as I want one of the papers to cover most of my card, I resized it to 140cm x 140 cm
I resized the other 3 papers the same, but then cropped them, as I only need enough of the pattern to print my stamps on to.

You need to leave the stamps 'outside' the printable area (if you cannot do this in your graphics program, dont bring them in till later)
And now...PRINT!!
That was easy right?

Then you need to pop the paper you've just printed... back into the printer
(might sound obvious, but make sure its the same way it came out...trust me... it can go wrong...lol!)

Then  back in your graphics program, you need to line up all the elements where you want them to print...
You'll notice the white area around the images... thats why we can't just print the once!!
These stamps are from the 'SWEET DREAMS SPRINGTIME RETRO KIT'

You can see roughly where the images will print when they go back through the printer... you are just making sure the images will print directly over the pattern.
(the green paper in mine is extra for stamping the toadstools onto)
Then once you are happy.... DELETE THE PAPERS...

Make sure the stamps stay in position...
and PRINT AGAIN... over the papers you prevously printed...
(again, might be worth checking the paper is in the right way ;))

You should get something like this....

I then stamped multiple toadstool images from the Sharing Sherbet Xtra set 1 these stamps are on a clearance sale at the moment and you can get the set for just £1.09!!!

Thats all the printing and stamping done!!
now its just a case of assembling the card!!....

Firstly I cut out the main square paper for the background, and matted with yellow card before attaching to a square card blank...

I cut out 4 patterned toadstools, and 4 white... then cut out just the heads of 4 patterned, and just the heads of 4 white...

using a poppy promarker, I coloured the 4 white toadstool heads and the little frilly bit on the whole white toadstools
Then assemble them so the patterned heads and plain heads alternate...

I then attached them along the bottom of my card... at different angles, some raised on foam pads...

Using 'TULIP YELLOW' and 'SKY BLUE' Promarkers, I just added a bit of extra detailing to the sun and clouds...

Then layered them at the top of the card, and added a button threaded with some twirly wire...
And thats it!!!
heres the finished card again....

oops forgot to mention the ribbon!! I added that to the back of the main paper before attaching...

phew!!! my first tutorial complete!!
Hopefully that all made sense??

Be sure to check out the Challenge blog to see the Awesome work from my DT girls!!

Have a FAB bank holiday Monday whatever you are doing!!

Thanks for a great tutorial... I've never tried it before, thinking it was too hard to do... you make it look like a breeze. I'm going to give it a try soon :)
